Accompanist (Choir) - Horizon Middle School

Application Deadline: Friday, September 30, 2016

This position will be assigned to the choir teachers to accompany singers' (6th-8th grade) on the piano at Horizon Middle School.

Approximately 4.5 hours per day
10:15 a.m. - 3:20 p.m.

Starting Salary - $16.14/hr

Instructional Aides - Elementary/Secondary (2016-2017)

Instructional Aide positions are filled throughout the year from a pool of qualified applicants. Additional education and/or experience may be required for specific aide positions. Number of hours per day and hourly rate may vary by position.

There are two classifications of Instructional Aides: I and II. Specific job descriptions for both instructional aide classifications can be found on the job application by clicking the TalentEd Recruit & Hire link at the bottom of this page.

The schools will hire depending on the needs of the students/school.

Starting salary range: $13.57 to $16.14 per hour

AVID Tutors

Application deadline date: Fri., September 30, 2016

Tutors are key to the success of the AVID program. AVID tutors from colleges and universities are trained to use specific teaching methodologies and materials to facilitate the AVID tutorial process. Tutors work with AVID students in tutorial groups, assisting in all academic areas to make progress towards college readiness. AVID tutorials occur in small groups (7:1 student to tutor ratio). Tutors lead tutorial sessions through inquiry and collaboration to help students determine answers to their questions on their own and by working with fellow students.

Qualifications:

Education/Certification:
Current college student or college graduate

Special Knowledge/Skills:
AVID tutors are motivated, organized, responsible, successful college students or college graduates who believe all students can succeed. AVID tutors work in a supportive manner with secondary students (middle and high school), district, and campus personnel. AVID tutors serve as tutorial facilitators and do not act in a teacher or substitute teacher capacity. AVID tutors will need to complete required training to participate in this program.

AVID Tutor positions are filled throughout the year from a pool of qualified applicants.

Starting salary: $11.14 per hour

Substitute Bus Drivers

Substitute bus drivers are needed in the district to drive for activity trips and fill in on bus routes as needed.

Full Time Substitute Custodian

Qualifications:
1. High School Diploma or Equivalent
2. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds

Salary Classification: Step 4 - Support Staff Salary Schedule

Job Goal: To provide students with a safe, attractive, comfortable, and clean place in which to learn, play, and develop.

The individual hired must be available to work various hours and shifts as needed. Split shift may be required.

Starting salary: $14.78 per hour
